appearance
All players should design their characters in a way that remains accurate to the lore and origins of the species or world they come from. Characters are expected to visually and behaviorally reflect their established lore whenever possible.
There is no Veil within Sovereign’s Rest, meaning supernatural beings are not required to maintain or hide behind a human form unless the player simply prefers their character to have one. Characters are free to appear in their true forms openly throughout the island.
TAILS, WINGS, CLAWS AND MORE
Features such as talons, claws, wings, horns, tails, fangs, and similar traits are allowed, provided they fit within the established lore and natural design of your character’s race.
Players should avoid adding accessories or physical features that do not logically belong to the chosen race. This also applies to how the extras features are used.

clothing
Characters may arrive on the island from different time periods, worlds, or locations. Because of this, it is entirely possible to encounter a Roman centurion still dressed in military armor beside someone arriving from a modern nightclub in New York. A character’s point of origin and style are determined by the player. There is no appropriate dress code for men and women (women don't have to be in a dress or silks).
At this time, our clothing rule: characters must have their private areas properly covered while in public spaces. Full nudity is only permitted in designated areas where it is considered appropriate, such as bathhouses or similar locations.
Please use common sense and keep outfits appropriate for the setting and surrounding environment.

note to players
You are not in Kansas anymore.....
Players should keep in mind that Sovereign’s Rest is not a modern world. There are no malls or clothing stores on the island, only tailors and basic craftsmen. Modern materials and conveniences such as zippers, synthetic fabrics, or mass-produced fashion would be extremely rare and difficult to replace once damaged.
Players may decide for themselves when or if their character begins adapting to more practical, hand-sewn clothing better suited to the island’s environment. Roads, terrain, and settlements are rugged and far from modernized, meaning certain fashion choices—such as high heels or restrictive modern outfits—may realistically make daily life more difficult.
Additionally, characters wearing impractical or unusual modern clothing in certain areas may be questioned, mocked, or called out in character by others depending on the situation and setting.
aVATAR RENDERING COMPLEXITY AND SCRIPTS
Players should keep both Avatar Rendering Complexity (ARC) and script counts in mind when creating their avatar. Excessively high ARC or heavy script usage can cause lag and may prevent other players from fully seeing your avatar.
At this time, we do not wish to enforce strict limits on ARC or scripts. However, if these become a recurring issue, restrictions may be introduced in the future.
Please avoid becoming a “grey blob” to other players due to an overly high ARC count. Players found abusing excessive ARC, scripts, or effects may be asked to remove items or reduce their avatar complexity.
sPECIAL EFFECTS
Any magic HUDs, particle systems, or special effects must be approved by an admin before use. Our goal is for everyone to enjoy roleplay comfortably, and causing sim-wide lag through excessive effects or attachments goes against that experience.
